Inspired by a need - it opened the door for finding vintage recipes that have with stood the test of time.  We have been through quit the trial over the past year and half (actually longer).  Cutting financially down to just the bare minimum, if not less than that.

I've always cooked for my family of five - and now as I have sought ways to stretch food out and utilize everything down to the scruple, I realized how much I do enjoy baking and learning why and how certain foods affect our bodies.  I've always loved learning about health, so what better way than with food 'you are what you eat', there's merit to that...And I just like to eat! 

 

We also have many food sensitivities' and through homeopathy, exercise, good diet habits (such as eating for our blood types), we have managed to maintain balanced health - of course, the good Lord sustains!

I have been baking forever it seems and was always asked for my recipes especially my chocolate chip cookies and toffee bars and now my fudge.  I enjoy making sourdough starter and just knowing the source of our bread, so why not add that on the list to sell too!

All my baked goods are utilized with wholesome organic ingredients, just like I would give my own family.  There is no need for preservatives, poly-unsaturated fats (PUFAs), and other foods that hinder our thyroid from functioning at its best!

Even down to the eggs used.  Did you know that PUFAs come through into your eggs?  We use 'Angel Acres' eggs in our baked goods, for good reason.  The feed chickens are given, goes directly into the egg.  Feed, even if organic, is loaded with PUFAs!

We source as much of our ingredients from local farmers and hope to continue to support them.
